Safety is a journey.

Having the right partner can make the journey easier.

What’s in a name?

Safety Training

Safety training is an investment of time and money, and you’re looking for the most from your investment. Core course offerings include: Mobile Crane Safety Management, Excavation Safety, and Safety 101 – Beyond Compliance (the “why” and business aspects of safety). These courses are tailored to reflect your company’s activities and exposures.

General Contractor Safety Assessments

Contractor safety prequalifications can provide information and insight, but they may not capture much about how a general contractor will manage safety on your project. This service identifies what a general contractor brings (or doesn’t bring) to the table. The assessment focuses topics and data that you as the Owner or CM value and need to make informed contracting decisions.

Safety Management System (SMS) Assessments

This is a “fresh eyes” look at your entire safety management system from a best practices perspective. You’ll receive a formal report that describes the findings and identifies opportunities to improve your SMS. The SMS Assessment can be a practical first step before moving to SIF prevention.

Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIF) Prevention

Safety has changed a lot over the years. It’s not “memorize the regulations” and “be ready for OSHA” anymore. Unfortunately, the one thing that has not significantly changed is the fatality rate. SIF prevention is at the forefront for many companies, and it’s not necessarily a plug and play endeavor. Savete Services can help you develop a practical approach that works for your company.

General Advice and Guidance

There are times when your safety needs don’t fit neatly into one of the above categories. You might have questions about hiring safety professionals, employee development, or program direction and development.

Safety Program Advice

Savete Services does not offer written safety programs or procedures, but will review what you have (or what you’re working on), and discuss your objectives, risks, and hazards. , The next step is asking questions and offering suggestions based upon project and regulator experiences. Topics include (but aren’t limited to) mobile crane safety; helicopter external lift safety (from the contractor and owner perspectives); indoor air quality for construction activities; cutting, drilling and sawing in floors, slabs, and walls; demolition; and public safety in and around construction projects.
