The principal of Savete Services LLC is Kurt Stetzer.
Mr. Stetzer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Administration (Special Fields).
Mr. Stetzer completed the American Society of Safety Engineers’ (now known as the American Society of Safety Professionals) Executive Program in Safety Management and the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s Project Manager’s Academy.
He has three certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST). He is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
Mr. Stetzer has been a U.S. Department of Labor / Occupational Safety and Health Administration authorized instructor for the OSHA 10 and 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Outreach Courses since 1993.
His safety career began at a contractor’s trade association, where he provided safety support and education for member companies as part of his services.
Mr. Stetzer moved to a nationwide general contractor where he worked on a bridge rehabilitation project in Washington, DC. His next project was the South Main Pumping Station of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority’s Boston Harbor Project, the nation’s largest active infrastructure project at that time. In his next role, he served as the Safety Manager for the New Main Terminal Project at Washington National Airport. Promoted to the Western Region Safety Manager, Mr. Stetzer transferred to Las Vegas, NV. His employer placed the foundation and structural concrete for the first tower at The Venetian, as well as the site and podium concrete packages and above-ground parking structure. Other projects managed included site concrete at The Alladin in Las Vegas, NV, the new Federal Courthouse in Phoenix, AZ, tenant improvement projects at Caesar’s Palace, and the temporary Greektown Casino in Detroit, MI.
Mr. Stetzer joined the construction group of an international insurance brokerage, where he provided safety and loss control services and related support to Owner Controlled Insurance Program sponsors and construction clients ranging from Engineering News Record Top 40 firms to special trade contractors. He was involved in numerous projects and construction programs during this time, including Disney’s California Adventure, Los Angeles Unified School District’s $3.2B School Repair and Construction Program, and Moana Pacific Towers in Honolulu, HI.
He was hired by the U.S. operations of a global retail developer as the head of construction safety to develop and implement their construction safety program. Among the many notable projects completed during his tenure, the redevelopments at Century City in Los Angeles, CA, Valley Fair in San Jose, CA, University Town Center in La Jolla, CA, Southcenter in Tukwila, WA, and Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ are perhaps the most well recognized.
In his most recent role prior to launching Savete Services LLC, Mr. Stetzer was with a global asset manager working with companies in their real estate portfolio to support the organization’s goal of preventing serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs).
